The BETT Awards recognise excellence and innovation across education and EdTech, and winning the Innovation Award places Sky Up Academy Studios alongside some of the most influential organisations in the sector, including the BBC and Adobe.
Judges described Sky Up Academy Studios Elstree as “the next generation of education innovation”, praising the UK’s first XR‑powered immersive learning studio for young people for its unique blend of technology, creativity and career inspiration. In less than a year, the initiative has already empowered thousands of students, built teacher confidence, and demonstrated measurable impact in raising aspirations and closing the creative industries’ skills gap.
