In addition, students will explore a range of job profiles in the creative industry with our careers challenge. They will learn about different careers in fields like film, media, and digital arts, and discover roles ranging from technical jobs to creative positions. This experience helps them to see how their skills can lead to exciting career options for the future.
Who is it for?
Sky Up Academy Studios Dublin is designed for students aged 8-18, from second class right through to leaving cert students, providing an engaging and inclusive experience for learners of all abilities, including those with special educational needs. Our unique, hands-on experiences align with the curriculum, helping teachers to extend learning beyond the classroom and build on students’ new skills in future lessons.
During a 2.5-hour session, students assume real-life roles, such as presenters, producers, editors, and camera operators, gaining first hand insight into the varied jobs within the media industry. Under the guidance of our expert team, they create their own news reports, developing essential skills and building confidence.
The experience is further enriched with a guided tour of our Dublin business, providing an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how a leading media and telecoms company operates. Students also participate in a careers challenge, where they learn about various roles in media, film, and digital arts, and discover how their skills can translate into exciting career opportunities in both technical and creative fields.
We work closely with educational specialists to ensure that the experience is meaningful and impactful for every student. Whether it’s boosting creativity, teamwork, or digital literacy, Sky Up Academy Studios supports teachers in inspiring young minds while fostering an environment where every child can thrive.
